My scientific interest regards the approximation by finite elements of partial differential equations. In particular I worked on:

• Error estimates for mixed finite elements applied to elliptic second order problems and to the Mindlin-Reissner model for plates of moderate thickness.
• Domain decomposition methods for hyperbolic systems, for transport equations and for advection dominated advetcion-diffusion problems.
• Approximation of eigenproblems arising in different fields as fluid-structure interactions and electromagnetics.
• Evolution problem in moving domains.
• Fluid-structure interaction systems.
• Immersed boundary method.
