My main research interest is related to Hyperbolic Conservation Laws: their basic theory, their applications and their optimal control. In particular, I'm involved in the study of models concerning crowd dynamics (classroom evacuation, lanes formation), traffic flow, granular matter, individuals-population interactions (the Pied Piper, dogs and sheeps), supply chains, blood flow, gas dynamics (a piston hit by a shock wave), phase transitions and combustion, see also my publications.
